Many questions may come to an individual’s mind while considering a flight course and school. Below are a few insights to those questions. For more information do write in to us.

WHAT ARE THE DGCA REQUIREMENTS FOR PILOT, INSTRUMENTAL & COMMERCIAL LICENSES?

Private:

  • 40 hours of flight time
  • 20 hours dual, including 3 hours cross-country
  • 3 hours night, including:
  • 1 cross-country flight over 100 NM
  • 10 Take Offs & Landings to full stops
  • 3 hours instrument
  • 3 hours of test prep. (within 60 days of flight test)
  • 10 hours solo
  • 5 hours solo cross-country
  • 1 150 NM solo cross-country flight (full stop)
  • 3 points, one being at least 50 NM
  • 3 takeoffs & landings with full stops at an airport with an operating control tower

Instrument:

  • 50 hours of cross-country PIC (at least 10 hours in airplanes)
  • 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, including:
  • 15 hours dual time
  • 3 hours instrument test prep. written
  • 1 IFR cross country of at least 250NM with 3 different approaches

Commercial:

  • 250 hours of flight time
  • 100 hours in a powered aircraft (at least 50 hours in airplanes)
  • 100 hours of PIC time which include:
  • 50 hours in airplanes
  • 50 hours of cross-country time (at least 10 hours in airplanes)
  • 20 hours of training which include:
  • 10 hours instrument training (at least 5 hours in either single or multi)
  • 10 hours complex
  • 1 2-hour day VFR cross-country of more than 100 NM
  • 1 2-hour night VFR cross-country of more than 100 NM
  • 3 hours of test prep. (within 60 days of flight test)
  • 10 hours solo
  • 1 cross-country flight of no less than 300 NM
  • 1 leg of at least 250 NM from departure point
  • 5 hours of night VFR flight
  • 10 takeoffs & landings at an airport with operating control tower

DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE FULL-TIME INSTRUCTORS WHO ARE WELL QUALIFIED?

Flight instructors at Jacobs Flight services have all been trained to the highest FAA standards. We have a mix of instructors from all around the globe. We have experienced pilots from airlines and retired air force pilots as members of our staff with years of practice and thousands of hours of flying.

IS THE TYPE OF TRAINING AIRCRAFT YOU HAVE?

We have Cessna 172, Piper (Pa-28), Seneca (Pa-34-200) and a Redbird Simulator . Our fleet includes single and multi-engine aircraft. We are continuously updating our fleet as well.

IS THE JOB GUARANTEE OFFERED BY YOU?

A lot of our graduates are today flying for airlines, charter companies and corporations throughout the world. With the increasing demand for pilots you will be flying the big jets in no time.

How long is the training course?

Our training course is normally for 5-7 months. This is based on the average completion rate by our students in last 1 year. This includes Zero to CPL course.
